John has been a fulltime working musician since 1965, his Junior year in high-school, except for

4 years (1966-70), when he went to the U. of Minnesota as a fulltime music-major, studying piano

and composition. His teachers included world-class names, such as Paul Freed, Dominic Argento, and

Paul Fetler. He has dedicated his whole adult life to nothing but his music (and raising his children).

He's continued to study and learn on his own, while also working in many diverse styles of music

over the years. He continues to read and study, especially in the field of serious composition.

John is also a strong vocalist.

John fondly remembers his years in Texas.

For 12 years, between 1988 and 2000, John played Country Music in Texas with some excellent

cover bands. With these bands he worked alongside countless "name" acts at large venues such as

"Billy Bob's". He also recorded for many demos and some regional albums. Just some of the famous

names he worked alongside were Johnny Cash, Conway Twitty, Willie Nelson, Diamond Rio, Exile, Alabama,

Brooks & Dunn, Restless Heart, Leroy Parnell, Steve Wariner, Ray Price, Kenny Chesney, and many more.
